Ambitions of Lisa

I am a traveller and an independent individual, not afraid to take risks in life to achieve my ambitions. A friend suggested I read 'Milksop Nation' by Jack Gordon the Economist / Shell Writing Prize 2002. This is what inspired me to compose 'A Gift of Honour'. Very emotive and powerful, it displays my defiance against terrorism and evil in the world. 

My brother is 12 going on 25.... I sometimes think I don't know him at all.

A little piece on Whitby, North Yorkshire. 

My first attempt at writing fiction/novel. Here is Chapter One. All comments and advice welcome. Not too confident about the opening chapter at the moment. 

The way I feel before a performance... not too sure about the vagueness of it. Please comment.

This piece of writing describes my feelings about an adventure I had in India, when I chose to spend the night in a Jungle.

I have the opportunity to apply for promotion at work, and my ambition is taking over. I feel the need to progress and I am hoping to make the most of this opportunity.

Feeling romantic.... not sure this works, but here goes... 

If any of you have read my piece 'Faceless Woman' or 'Faceless no more' you will know I found my birth family last year. I also discovered 6 brothers and sisters. My youngest sister and I have become so close over the last year, and as it is a year this week since I met her, I thought it might be nice to write a poem for her. Quite simple but meaningful.... I hope.
