I'm sure you'll recognise this ... 

Based on a supernatural incident at the Edinbugh Vaults 

Wrote this shortly after a series of rejections. I don't mean to preach; but I do have a friend in God and I wanted to share this with you. 

Thought of this one evening as I wandered down our local market. It's very short. what do you think? 

Written during one of my lighter moments (well - I'm a writer, I'm entitled to moodswings!) 

Where did this come from? It has taken my complete surprise! 

Here is the second in the series. I have tried to include the changes as suggested by so many of you with the last one and I'd like to know what you think. 

Helping children to overcome their fears with a short, gentle story. The first in a series aimed at 3 - 5 year olds. 

Just to prove to my anxious fellow writers that I am coming out of depression, here is something quite light...

A little bit of sheer blood and guts determination here but I know most writers will identify with it. 

I for one am becoming increasingly concerned about all the publicitu electronic reading gadgets are getting. It is a complete OUTRAGE!!! Anyway, this (wonderfully spontaneous) poem came to me yesterday, got tweaked at 7 o' clock this morning and is now here for everyonne to see. Please print it off and put it up in your window, or send it to your local book shop (I have ten copies I am sending off today) because if we writers can't stop this scandal, nothing will!!!!! 

This originally won me a runner up prize in a Writers Forum competition. Interested to hear your thoughts. 

Haiku is my most favourite poetry form and I am inspired by everything. I hope you enjoy these. 

Little challenge I set myself - sit down at Writewords and write six haiku there and then. What do you think?

A quiet reflection on the future of entertainment 

This is one of those poems that comes complete and this one came when I walked past a wedding party coming out of the local registry office a couple of weekends ago. 

Having just become unemployed at the age of 48, this is how I am feeling ... 

Did anyone see that recent news item about the theme park ride that left dozens of people hanging upside down for quarter of an hour? I know it wasn't a laughing matter - but I just couldn't help myself with this poem - God forgive me!!!!!! 

This is not a new poem but one I wrote ages ago and left in a file. I'd be interested in any comments.
