Words are pools
through which I wade,
and build my castles
with my spade
until I spot a tiny beach
where future success
lies in reach.
I stop and read
the editor's letter,
now my life is looking better.
Okay it's not a huge advance
that makes me sing
or want to dance,
at least she felt
my heartfelt work
was worth response -
to light the dark.
So words are pools,
and now I swim,
all because
I WON'T GIVE IN!!!!
