Profile I`ve been writing creatively since I was old enough to hold a crayon, but after focusing on English Literature and theatre for my degree, my own work dropped off significantly. My interest has been revived by recent discoveries in the fan-fic world, including a short writers` workshop at a recent Lord of the Rings convention, so now I think it`s time to do something about it!

Go somewhere you can eavesdrop on people (preferably without getting arrested). Try to pick up sound bites to put in your notebook. When you get home, take one of these odd phrases and write a short free-form poem around what you have heard. Use it as your title, opening line, or finishing flourish, or just the gem around which your story develops. (Taken from the BBC Get Writing website.)

I have just watched a film called 'What the (bleep) do we know?' - a story and a documentary rolled into one. Hard to explain but it's about the links between spirituality & quantum physics & what that might mean for us. Highly recommended. So I wanted to take a quote from that - do what you want with it! It is: 'How far do you want to go down the rabbit hole?'
