A friend asked me today if I knew any good Christmas and/or New Year poetry. I sent her some examples by Longfellow, Scott, Wordsworth. None of them fitted the bill. So while making coffee I penned the following lines. Nothing too special about them, just a bit of fun and they are now going to be used in several hundred corporate Christmas cards! 

Inspired by the perils of too much Yuletide good cheer. 

It's been a long time since I wrote very much, but I have recently just started again. This is my first finished short poem for a while. 

Still trying to find my voice again after not writing for a few years.
