Shnarkle

First draft of a horror story that has been percolating around my head, and very different from the Shnark. This is the first chapter. 

First draft of Ch 4, where we get a rest from the horror and gain a little background info. I found this very hard to write, and hope it serves well as a summary of events leading to now. The summary will continue in Ch. 5. I'm interested to hear how you think it reads. 

1st draft of what was to be a children's/YA horror story, but eventually got too gory. May still seem slightly young in this form. 

This pretty much follows on from chapter 1. It's in a fairly raw form, but I'm pretty happy with the general gist of events. 

Continuation from first chapter 

This is the third chapter in first draft form. It immediately follows on from the end of chapter 2, and had me kacking myself! 

This is a rewrite of the last chapter which didn't really work. I'm trying to get a bit of background across; I hope this works better. Your comments, as always are welcome

In which young Ritchie Bowman finds himself in a perculiar situation. 

First draft of the chapter where we meet Bob & the spider. Not sure how I feel about it yet. What do you think of it? 

Entered as "first chapter in a children's book" limited to 1000 words. This will not be the final draft but gives you an idea how it will look but with a bit of character description 

Having received a dimensional transportation orb from a stranger at his birthday party; the Shnark, his best friend Grimpleblik, Bob the human knight and the giant spider are transported to Tharg. 

Having agreed to aid the Splith in their struggle with the Sploth, the company are aboard a transporter flying towards the battle site.
