Iain MacLeod

This came from some work I was doing last year, originating in a memoir by a convict shipped to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) in the 1840s. One passage struck me and this was the result. I'm not entirely sure if it will ever go anywhere, but here it is. Hope you all find something to like. 

First new thing in some considerable time (at least the first thing I've been reasonably happy with). Hope you all like it. 

Not really sure about this one, one of those poems that come together surprisingly quickly. I know what I want to say, but I'm not sure whether I've done it justice...
