More of a sequel to "Dead in the Water" thematically. There's a link to Interior of the Sint-Odulphuskerk in Assendelft and the picture might provide a stimulus for an ekphrastic poem for anyone who sees it interested in writing one. He joined the Guild of St Luke in Haarlem in 1614 when he was living in Haarlem. Frans Hals joined in 1610. He finished his picture of the interior of Assendelft village church in October 1649.
