    It is a bit of a palaver so I just copy and paste the whole http:// address line into te post, but the proper way to do it is click on the chain symbol between the underline and quote icons, above, and a little window will pop up along the top of your screen, where you can put the http: address and the word on the post you want to link it to (eg here). You might get a flashing line saying pop up blocked, if your PC has been set to block all popups from webpages. Click on it and choose temporarily accept popups, and next time you do it, it should work.

    I think what's going wrong is that you need to get the actual url of the piece in the archive, which won't look like that.

    I can't do it here, because I don't know if you want your work that public, but if you go to your profile, find the piece under the 'work' tab, click on it, the url will be the writewords one followed by something like /archive/123345 or whatever. Right click it, copy, go back to where you want to paste the url, directly into your post or in the linky pop-up box, and it should work. If you want to check, Preview your post, rather than Posting it directly, and if it doesn't work you can have another go.

    you need the full http://www.writewords etc etc URL address, vanessa.

    Like I said, I just copy and past the address rather than posting al ine, eg:
    http://nathanbransford.blogspot.com/2008/02/you-tell-me-when-do-you-followignore.html

    It might be long and messy, but it works for me

    <Added>

    oops, typos: ...copy and paste the address rather than posting it as a link

    Emma,

    Thanks for joining the fray!

    When I go to my profile and look in work, my uploaded work doesnt have a url address.

    Very confused now, Vanessa

    Thanks, Naomi,

    But I'm still missing a vital clue. Gosh I wish there was a tutorial or something.

    Where do find my address?
