Naomi Simmons has considerable experience in children’s writing for
international markets. She is the author of Macmillan’s story-based
English Language Programme for primary schools in China, which
includes both fiction and non-fiction titles, as well as books of plays,
fun books and activity books. This programme is the best-selling ever English
program in China and is also a successful animated TV show shown throughout
SE Asia.
Naomi also wrote McGraw Hill’s story-based phonics programme, Fun Sounds (for Latin America) and a large number of readers in use in the Eastern Mediterranean block. She is also the author of TeenZone, a magazine-style book for 11 – 14 year olds in Latin America (Pearson Inc, 2000). She is also the author of four anthologies of songs, poems and chants published by Macmillan Asia and has this year released two CDs of children’s songs for speech and emotional development for the UK market. Additionally, sixty of her mini story-books were published last year (Little Experience). Naomi has many years experience as Editorial Project Manager for a number of major publishers.
