Profile Maggie Turner is a writer, former educator of adorable but disaffected teenagers in East London and local government official who once was a specialist in Section 28 and its use as a self-censorship tool. When she realised that people are not interested in really changing the status quo she lost interest in community activism and started to write fiction and poetry for her own pleasure. She now writes comedy from a front room in a Manchester terraced house with a partner in a Parisian garret.
