Profile Best-selling editor of John Betjeman`s writings, Stephen has completed three Betjeman anthologies for Hodder Headline in the last year and edited the writings of Nikolaus Pevsner for Methuen. He began writing for The Guardian in 1979, winning a British Press Award, and became The Independent`s first Arts Correspondent in 1986. He has written for the Los Angeles Times, made documentaries and hosted a weekly arts programme for BBC Radio 3 and taught media studies for Boston University and AIU.
