Profile I retired last year from teaching; thirty years in the same school, seven as head. I have just completed a freelance journalism course - I enjoy the challenge of writing to a word limit and deadline on a particular topic. I see writing as a craft with words as the medium, a process of finding the best words to communicate the idea or emotion or scene, then reshaping whittling away until the finished article is as good as you can get. I`d like, one day to be counted a craftsman.
