This piece is the start of a novel I am writing about a New-Hampshire woman whose husband gets killed in an avalanche whilst rescuing two teenage ice-climbers. One of the fifteen year-old boys (Mark), falls in love with the woman (Cath). His love is fuelled by his guilt for the loss of her husband and the fact that her son is now growing up with no father (as he too had). It is still in the planning stages and any feedback would be welcomed.
