Profile	Realised the other day that I`ve not lived more than six months in any place for ten years. Darted between Scotland, London and hotter, cheaper countries including Morocco and Indonesia, in addition to Japan. My writing reflects this. Tales of east and west and cultural misunderstandings predominate. Written a thriller set in Soeharto`s Jakarta and currently writing short stories set in Japan. Literary heroes include Nabokov, Bellow, Conrad, Naipaul and Gogol.
