Profile	Mark Callanan was born in St. John`s on the island of Newfoundland, Canada. After completing a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature at the Memorial University of Newfoundland, he lived and worked in Leeds, England for nearly two years. His work has appeared in journals across Canada and in the UK. Scarecrow, his first collection, was released in 2003 by Killick Press.
