There's a post-graduate course in Film Journalism advertised by the BFI, of interest to anyone like myself who would like to get paid for film reviews, or just wants do the course to improve on skills.

The cost may give you pause - I know it did me - £600 for a distance-learning course that lasts from mid-February to the end of May, plus two compulsory seminar days in London. The FAQ page says it takes up about five hours a week. Applicants have to write a 'Sight & Sound' type synopsis and review of a recent release and the deadline is January 6th.
