Can someone, perhaps from the States, confirm that at any time, anyone,in any context, Oval Office, Church etc etc, conducting conversations with your hands in your pockets, is an accepted practice.

I know it's a nerdy, hopelessly British question and who really gives a .... but it's such a conventional no-no in the UK that having noticed it in the WW it's become like the ticking clock in the room that you didn't even hear until you noticed it. And then........
