    Help!

Did anyone else hang in there through all the time-shifts, flash-backs and flash-forwards, dream sequences and double, treble bluffs etc?

    If so can you explain:

I thought in series one Ellen was a threat to Frobisher so he sent the bearded bent cop to kill her. He turned up at ellen and david's flat to kill ellen but found david and killed him. Was ellen attacked then? I remember her running out into the street and for a while being accused of david's murder.

Then she went to Patti's house and Pete's mate tried tried to kill her. Last night in the final ep of series 3 Patti admitted she had asked Pete to have ellen killed 'because I was frightened'. Why was Patti afraid of ellen?

Can anyone help a bear with a very small brain?

    Confused - Z

I kept missing episodes, so I'm afraid I can't help.

Actually, missing a few episodes made it far less confusing.

I love this series but haven't yet seen the last episode! I averted my eyes from your questions and will come back and see if I can answer any of them once I've watched it

    Ok, I can help now!

My understanding is that there are two different things happening in that season one climax. Patti sent a hitman to her own flat while Ellen was there, but in the meantime, Frobisher had sent the bent cop to Ellen and David flat because the incriminating evidence was there [escapes me now what it was!].

I think Patti was frightened of Ellen because Ellen knew just how far she'd pushed on the Frobisher case in relation to her sister in law.

Does that help at all? I don;t think this series was quite as good as the first, but I still think it's a class act. And it's brilliant to see a programme with such strong female roles.
