I saw Coeurs that I have just reviewed at what the BBC has called the most beautiful cinema in Britain - The Rex at Berkhamstead, Herts. You can find pictures and details on the net. If you are ever in the area, pop in and have a look, even if you can't get to see a movie the building is well worth a look. The cinema was resurrected and is now run entirely by enthusiasts. Very successfully.
Being a single large screen in the traditional way, the Rex gets booked up well in advance every month so people often book in advance for several films. As I was paying for my tickets for that night the guy next to me was just completing payment for 3 films. The girl handed him back his credit card and his tickets saying:
"so that's 2 weeks in Paris. knocked up, then atonement"
I said to her - that's one helluva sentence. Thankfully she got it and laughed. I guess it could be a party game, stringing film titles together to make crazy sentences.
