Hi All, just joined this thread thanks to Jumbo's comment on my Warts And All story. I'm on board and ready and waiting for March's RLG.

It's taken me ages to get through the mails on this thread. Shame I missed the last two.

How do you come up with the title in the first place, just think it up?

And February was If the parrot hadn’t died at that exact moment, I think we would have been alright.

In answer to your question as to how we come up with these lines, well .... It seems to require a lot of alcohol, scones, funny pink biscuits - and some strange brown substances not available on the NHS.

In fact, Dee gave us the first one, I came up with the 'parrot' one, Wordy is on line for the next one, and tc (tinyclanger) is booked for April. Hope I've got them in the right order!

Well, the first one. It came in a flash this morning. Had to wait all day to get a chance to write it. Can't upload till tomorrow though.



I've deliberately avoiding reading the other results for RLG1. And RLG2 for that matter, haven't had a chance to come up with anything with a parrot in.

Colin, if we can keep this going for the rest of the year – and I don’t see why not – the killer one will be December. Some sadist (who was it Jumbo?) suggested that in December the story will have to contain all the opening lines, in the right order. And we all said ‘Yeah! Great idea!’
