I'm ignoring you all, whilst I sort out the RLG participation. Honestly Jumbo, you set me a task then forget what I'm doing five minutes later. Perhaps it's time for your nap?
And no more Cuban cigars, a 10 pack of silk cut for you until you get your memory back. (more kick smoking the packet than the fags)
Have decided to do the meaty stuff tomorrow, as my net connection is so slow tonight, I could walk there faster.

By the way, anybody else got mice? We've just discovered evidence of the pesky varmints. I did have a humane trap, from the LAST time we had mice, but now can't find it..any other exit strategies anyone?
Actually, we move from here in two weeks, so as long as I don't pack it, hopefully we'll leave it for the new tennants.

I'm off to bed now, night all.

    Al Havealargeone here...

I say, this list of RLG participants is a stroke of genius - well done Cuddly! and thank you TC! I was losing track of everyone!

TC...can't believe you've mentioned mice...my daughter said she spotted one in the bathroom last week. I haven't been to the loo since...wreaked havoc with my intestines.

So anyway, packed hubby off the next morning to get a trap, apparently they don't sell anything but humane traps...a box thing with poison in, the mouse takes it, eats it presumably and keels over. Ridiculous really that I should feel sorry for the little thing - it probably came into the house by accident, took one look at hubby's boxers in the wash basket and legged it. Haven't seen it since...

Maybe the same one was so traumatised by the experience that it left Northumberland for good and headed down your way TC??

We're looking at moving too! Relocating to Southampton, end of June latest...like you I hope I don't pack the thing. People keep mice for pets don't they??? Maybe I can train it to do something useful? hmmm.

We have a cat who brings live mice into the house and lets them go. She’s obviously got the plot wrong…

Moving to Southampton, Nahed? I have a friend there who writes vampire fiction. Small world, is it not?

    Off to bed now.

    Hi Dee,

Tis indeed a small world. Vampires eh? I don't know if I can handle meeces AND vampires! My daugher loves Buffy the Vampire Slayer...it's not my thing - although I have been known to drool over Angel - David Boreanaz (sp?).

Hope is not all lost then of us meeting up sometime in the future! Whenever you're visiting your friend - drop me a line!

You're probably in bed now but good night and sweet dreams!

I'm off to bed also - tired.

Wordy, you can get humane traps that don't kill, (I think ones that kill should be re-labelled INhumane).
Mine were a little plastic box, with a 'trip' that the mouse triggered once it had entered for the museli, (I kid you not, I tried cheese, (ha! what a lie that is) apple, peanut butter, but museli did the trick.
Once you catch said rodent, you can then take it far away to sombody else's house and let it go. Hang on a minute, that's not what you did is it?

Mice are nice, but not more than one, and not in my house..

tc, please don't forget me on your list. I haven't commented this time through, I was a bit late to catch up with everyone else (excuses, excuses), but I promise to participate fully next time round!

The list was just so we all knew we'd read each other's efforts, Swandale. You don't have to be on the list to play, everyone's invited!

I still have to trawl through the recent postings and see if I've missed anyone, so we don't have a complete list yet. It seemed to me there were loads of RLG tails kicking about, so I'm sure the list will get longer.

    Hum ho, what fun...
Wonder what the mouse is doing back at my house...?
For a small creature, it sure seems to poo alot, bowles must be most efficient.

Now don't get me wrong, and please don't think I'm trying to tell you your job, but ...

didn't our friend Swandale do the story about the four ladies at Wimbledon? Might be wrong there, but this could be a double foot fault!!

    Advantage, Swandale. New balls, please!

Sometimes it seems like I'm the last to know everything[/].

I hope you don't mind if I contribute a story to this RLG thingy.

In fact, I'll start right now:

As she opened the car door she changed her mind....

(I'll post a link to it when it's done.)

Well here it is. Stopped me actually doing any work this afternoon. I got stuck though, and couldn't really end it.
