What about just a random prompt for each month? Otherwise the same - prose, poetry, prose poetry, play, essay, whatever.

Maybe we should change the date to the 15th or something so that we don't have to wait a whole month!

Why not start one now? It's still the 1st. How about:

"His moustache was like that of a seventies porn star."

Okay. What about a phrase or something, like "porn tache"? (I often had trouble working with the whole sentence!)

OK, there could be a key phrase that people have to use in the opening sentence?

Cath, I’m absolutely delighted that RLG lasted for twelve months, and the number of wonderful stories it generated. I was sorry it ended but I do think it had run its course. (although I’m not sure my mate Jumbo would agree! )

I’d love to start a similar line… maybe we could use our associations of the months. For instance, I associate January with the sleep just before dawn. February is the first stirrings of spring (snowdrops). March is sexual (mad March hares) and so on…

Maybe we could all create a character and lead him/her through each month of the year?

Why don’t you start something? I’m sure you’ll have loads of takers.

I love this idea, extending a character over the year, springing from each months theme, imagined or otherwise.
When can we start? Can we back track to cover Jan & Feb?

Instead of posing the question, why don't you try being a little more pro-active.

Start a thread 'RCG - Random Character Generator' or something, and get people involved. All your doing in this thread is flogging a dead horse.
