Greetings RLGers old and new!
Quick summary for new participants:
The idea is to take the line I'm setting below and use it as THE OPENING LINE in a piece of writing. It can be any genre/style/format, (tho' obviously if it's a novel, you may be away some time!), but your piece MUST start with the line.
If you're having a go, please announce it on this thread so we can all make sure we read it. It's also a great idea to put RLG in the title when you post as that highlights your work.
OK, Here's the line for April:
Outside, the bone of the moon glows, but within, we lie, destroyed in the dark.
Have fun everybody!

That's not a line - it's a random assortment of words and commas!
Blimey, girl! What are we supposed to do with that! <rant, mumble, gruble, groan .... (as you would say!>
I suppose you've posted yours already, tc!
Speak to you soon! Well, not very soon!

Better than a bleedin' dead parrot, matey!
It just requires some imagination, some beautiful poetic-y waffle, and you're there. and you've proved lately that you can do poetic-y waffle along with the best of us...
...is mine ready? er....fine tuning, fine tuning. Don't want to post it up too soon and put you all off.
night, night! sleep well!

Outside, the bone of the moon glows, but within, we lie, destroyed in the dark.
Tonight as the swiftest rivers flow, I listen to the beating of my heart
Tomorrow may be somewhere
Concealed beyond the gloom
But worry not if I should leave, to dance to the fiddler’s tune.
Instead, pretend that I’m with you, don’t despair you are not alone
There are times for us both to whisper, and times to be on our own.
Neglect the friend who calls you
Pretend that you never cared
And listen for the dawning, if I’m lucky I’ll be there.

There you go, that only took you 21 minutes! What are you wailing about, man?
Tho' I wanted a nice, cuddly Jumb story...Mummee, the man promised me a STORIEEEE!

Ah, well that might take a little longer! <Added>...still looks like we're on our own! Did you forget to post the invitations?
-
Didn't I give them to YOU to do?......
<Added>
By the way, just noticed 'gruble' Lovely! Is it real or didja invent it? I love WW. Keep getting superb new words. Last week 'nitpitty', this week 'gruble'...

I knew it'd be my fault! Think I'll tuck myself under the duvet now and blow out the candle.
Perhaps I should blow out the candle first!
Great line, tc!! May take some time to come up with the story, though!
See you later,

Oh, hang on. Silly me, it's just a dream. In an hour or so I'll wake up, log on and find the real RLG.
Hang on. Nope, this feels like reality, yup, cup of tea, bleary eyes, headache, and now this line from TC.
Oh bugger.
