Greetings. I seek the wisdom of the hive-mind

So I'm currently planning a novel, and I'm thinking about using multiple narrative streams; basically speaking, a couple of stories set in the past, one more contemporary and weaving them together... and I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions of books/novels to read which do this kind of stuff just so I can see how other writers have tackled it. And yes, before anyone mentions it, TMOL is on the list already (and I've read Ghostwritten, Cloud Atlas, Everything is Illuminated) - just wondering if anyone out there has any other suggestions?

    Merci.

Possession? Birdsong, I'm told, but haven't read it. The Blind Assassin? Arthur and George -same story but the two strands only come together at the end, apparently. Marge Piercy's Gone to Soldiers - many strands, same period, wonderful, wonderful book.

And of course, (diffident cough) my new novel, due c. July 2008... If I ever get the damn thing written.
