I need a name like Potter, with a similar sound and connotations (not Harry connotations tho). Any ideas?
Thanks.

V good jb. Or Dawdle? Why do I start these?

Dabble might be a good one too. Tinker and Dabble's Mercantile Apothecary? Sound's a bit medieval and witchy-like don't it?

Putterford, Putterforth, Putterman, Stutterford, Stutterforth, Stutterman
Dibster's rather good, but already used in Porterhouse Blue!

Pootler? Echoes of Mr Pooter which you might not want though.

The character's pretty sinister, a nasty guy, so I'm looking for some kind of similar play-off against the seeming innocuous, homely, yet also somehow creepy name. It's tricky.
Thanks everyone.

Carver? Sawyer?

Medlar? as in 'meddler'? And I like Trickett. Tickell? Specially since until recently it would have been pronounced 'tickle'.
