No, I don't know of one, though I'm sure it would be very seriously over-subscribed; I'd be first in the queue. I imagine if you had a novel professionally edited the editor might be willing to help - the trouble with synopses is that it's hard to be really helpful without knowing the work.

Miss Snark's blog is great on synopses - she actually takes some apart bit by bit. I learnt a lot.

Yes isn't Miss Snark great! I'm sure I heard about her on here last year. Was that you Emma? The Writers Workshop site has an excellent sample query letter (+ a funny how not to sample as well) - all under 'How to find an agent before you die of old age'. They also say they offer free brief advice on submitting your book to agents and will review covering letters - also for free. Has anyone tried them?
