I am put in mind of the old Monty Python sketch, in which Ann Elk (brackets Miss brackets) expounds her theory about Brontosauruses:

'All Brontosauruses are thin at one end, much, much thicker in the middle and then thin again at the far end'

I am put in mind of it because it seems to me that writing may seem an easy thing to the uninitiated, then there is a much, much thicker period when one learns that there is much to learn, and then it gets thin again at the far end . . . which is when one actually begins to enjoy the process.

Here's to the thin end. Let it not be of the wedge. :)

Forgot the title. And editing doesn't allow me to put one in. Now that really is the thin end of the brontosaurus . . .
