    Forgive me if I ignore the previous 6 pages of banter and cut direct to the chase. I've had a similar problem in that my prologue was originally going to be in the third person as if by a passing deity. Considering the rest of the book is narrated by different characters in turn this did not work, so I changed it. Now the prologue is narrated by a character who is watching the events unfold from a distance, only the reader does not know who it is. This seems far more satisfying to me. I see no issue whatsoever in changing voice - in fact, it's rather a fun challenge adapting the writing style to fit the personalities involved.
