Can anyone tell me what happens when you try to make a call to a mobile phone that’s been damaged? Do you hear a message saying it’s turned off? Or that it’s not taking calls? Or does it just ring and ring?

I used to work in mobile phones. Sometimes you'll get a recorded message 'This number is currently unable to accept calls. Please try again later.'.
