I understand totally "How I felt after finishing my first comic"- "How I felt after finishing my 500th comic." For comic substitute 'serial'.

For the writers who read poor reviews, the writer justifies why he doesn't go out to solicit feedback.

I love the bit where he asks if reading YouTube comments has ever made you feel more whole as a human being. I have to agree that YouTube commenters do seem to be a very specific group of people (only based on some of the comments I've read).

But this is a good point:

Art is not born in a vacuum, but it's not born inside a tornado of shrieking trolls either.
