RE: Michelle. I think the fame and fortune got to her and she really did eat ALL the pies. Cowell clearly saw the potential for a farcical number one hit, and hell, if you rip someone's dreams apart whilst doing it, at least she got a single out. I felt sorry for her, but then again you gotta be foolin yourself if Simon Cowell slinks up to you and says, you know what, the next big thing is you, literally, even though everyone else, even Pete Waterman who has shovelled some real shite over the years, is scoffing (all the pies?). Personally, I loathed Michelle, and I hated the garbage she inflicted on music. Her single (bleated in shopping malls across the land - oh, the glamour!) nearly made my ears bleed. I hated her 'oh poor me is it cos I is fat?' diatribe in the newspapers, and I hated her hair, and dress sense. Yuck! If that's an 'idol' then I'm frikkin' Moby Dick.

Mr. Cowell, if you're reading this, you are an arse sir. You may have shown the world how easy it is to be a talentless prick, but you will never destroy true talent, no matter how hard you try.

I just think that to have all the resources at his disposal, it's an awful waste to focus on the rubbish he thinks worthwhile. It's all for cold hard cash and absolutely nothing to do with talent. But we already knew that.

Pop Idol should be called How To Make A Quick Million Off A Few No Marks Making Fools of Themselves' Then, maybe, just maybe, I'd have some respect for it.

Anyway, getting back to the original point, I agree that talent can be honed. But talent has to be there in the first place.

Davey, may I recommend some ritolin? It will help you to concentrate, but unfortunately, it falls short when it comes to providing a taste in music. It also won't help your German, but that's by no means a bad thing. who wants to speak and sound like they're retching at the same time?

I know what you mean about the zombies. Just the other day, I had to deal with a particularly vicious one in my bank. It took four attempts for her to understand I wanted a 'cash withdrawl'. I became irate and the eye she then fixed upon me was definately undead.
