The problem that I have is one of structure rather than the central idea.
The story concerns a woman (Polly) being interrogated by a man of who's identity she is uncertain.
In flashback we learn that Polly suffers - as the result of an accident - from Propogognosia (or face blindness). This is literally an inability to recognise or identify other peoples faces in the way the rest of us can.
Polly meets Ben, the only other human being that she can recognise because she can see into his very soul. Ben has a problem though - he has no fixed appearance. Apart from Polly, to eveyone else his appearance constantly appears to change. Everybody except Polly sees Ben in a different way each time they meet him - it's as though he appears outside ordinary people's threshold of perception
A subplot involves two of Polly's friend who have an on off relationship simply becuse they don't find each other attractive enough - the them of the play being societies increasing obsession with looks appearance and weight.
My intended conclusion to the story was to be that Polly fails to recognise that the man that has been interrogating her all through the play is in fact Ben (heavily accented)in an attempt to see if Polly could still recognise him. His fear being that his own identity and sense of self is being wittled a way by a society obsessed with iconic images.
My problem, as I said is with structure and the sequence of events - any help or willingness to collaborate with me on this project would be much appreciated/
