(I am unsure where to put this but perhaps the moderators will move it if this is the wrong section)
I am starting a CREATIVE WRITING COURSE on my blog from September 2007. For details please see my post today, June 16th. http://blog.susan-hill.com/blog
It sounds very interesting. I did Louise Doughty's Novel In A Year course in 2006, which was excellent for newbie writers like myself, and I would love to continue with something in a similar vein, albeit a little more advanced.
Where you say: - I shan`t know if you are there or not unless you comment etc.
Do you envisage having a similar set up to the Daily Telegraph's website, where people post their work for others to comment on, aka peer reviews?
Just read your blog through. It is generous that you are offering that and for FREE too.
Do it be more or less suitable for people of particular genres/styles would you say or would it suit anyone?
I was reading on your blog and on the Friday Night Project blog about your competition and the way some competitions have limiting criteria for entry etc. I just wondered if your competition looks for particular sorts of books and how you might describe what you are looking for.
Sorry, I know that is nothing to do with this thread, only I was generally curious yesterday about this issue of competitions and what makes people enter. I think Danny Rhodes made a comment about elitism (not in relation to your competition but another with limiting criteria.) But I wondered if sometimes think people more readily enter a comp with a limiting criteria as it gives an idea of right ball-park for their stuff, sort of thing.
Sorry, ignore my rambling there...

I mean Friday Project, of course!!!!! I think Friday Night Project is a channel four show. Honestly, I'm getting worse...
I'm interested, Susan, and will be emailing. As others have said, this is very generous. Come September both my little ones will be at school and nursery and I shall have at least an hour a day free so perfect timing for me.
Thank you, Susan, for doing this. It sounds great and I'd love to take part. Like Sharon, I'll be childless during the day from September so it's good timing for me. And it's so hard for me to do any 'real life' courses that the internet is perfect.
