Yup, me to. Thinking of the prologues thread, I find them very annoying when they start things off with a bang, and Chapter One whimpers. The tension-setting is too creakily obvious.
I can see why people do that, it's the idea that in order to bag an agent you have to have a belter of a first chapter, and to do that you need loads of action. You'd be better off with a slow first chapter full of quality writing.
