Great list, Tez. I've copied and pasted a copy for use when looking at other's work. I particularly liked the advice to "Now is not the time to LIE. Be gentle but tell the truth" and to be prepared to hear the hard truth. Otherwise, what is a writing group/forum for?

    Thanks,

    Smith

I just posted something on skeer's thread, 'Criticism, how much can you take? saying I'd found this article by Victory Crayne, 'How to critique fiction.' I think this could provide some useful guidelines though I really don't thing its a good idea to be too prescriptive about these things.

I can't believe how chatty I am today.

Yes, that is a real help, Tez.

And I too have just posted a couple of links on Skeetr's thread after seeing Amnesia's post!

We're getting a lot together here!

    Hi,

Thank's I was pleased that you could make some sense of it all. I did make a bit of a mess of it.

You said <We're getting a lot together here!

That is very important. I think if we get to know each other as members we will be able to relate to each others work. This is one hell of a group and I hope to learn a lot from it. Having SITE EXPERTS is wonderful too.

We can only benefit from it.
