One of my favourite authors at the moment is Russell Banks.

I first read 'Rule of the Bone' when I was a student and found it stunning.

Several of his books have been made into films - The Sweet Hereafter, Affliction - but I don't hear his name mentioned much in the press in the UK.

Any other fans of this man's work out there?
