I've heard that On Becoming a Fairy Godmother is a great book! It's on my wish list at Amazon. I have about 450 books on my wish list, but in my mind, it's toward the top of my wish list!
I recently read Home by Julie Myerson, which I realy enjoyed. It's her journey to find out the story of everyone who ever lived in her house. It's quite light reading, funny, sad and reflective.
For something a bit more challeging try - One hand tied behind us - by Liddington and Norris. It's a real eyeopener to the suffrage movement and women's rights.
Oooh, thanks, Christine- for reminding me about that book. I love Julie Myerson and it sounds like a fascinating story... off to my local independent bookshop to buy it.
