Did anyone else hear this? Apparently it was something to do with 'administrative difficulties'. I knew it sounded too good to be true!

Starla, I think this was mentioned on the tail end of one of the original threads about the bursary. The general opinion seems to be that when they started it they had no idea of the avalanche of manuscripts that would result...

That's interesting, because I thought perhaps MCNA had received too few submissions, as two months ago they contacted my poetry group directly asking us to publicise the bursary.

Well I wondered, but as I personally know at least fifteen people who at least in theory were going in for it, being swamped seems a bit more likely?

Of course it could be that the person running it's ill or something.
