Hey all, I'm new here so forgive me if this is all old news. Just to pass on something and get it off my chest:
I won a ------ prize a while ago. Hurray and so on. It was cool, and the prize money was nice. Only 150 quid, but that's nice right. Yup it was. If they paid it. After months of chasing and being ignored and lied to, I finally received the cheque yesterday. They claim to be (I quote) "...providing encouragement and inspiration to those who want to write..." For me, anyway, they did neither, merely made me feel tired.
So there's a warning: winning will make you feel good, but all the stuff after can really burst your bubble. Money isn't everything, but there's a proncipal at work here. And a message: keep on chasing what's owed to you!!
Good luck everyone!

I know exactly how you feel, Getting Tired - the same thing happened to me and at least one other person I know. I'll WW mail you.

Okay, so it was edited. I meant it as a warning to people because you actually have to pay to enter the competition. So I'll just have to say to be careful where you submit and dont give up with the chasing!
Once again, good luck everyone!

I understand this - it happens with these particular people all the time. You have to ring the A/Cs department every week to get paid, and even then it takes months. Sigh!!...

Are they listed on Preditors and E ditors? The entry fee ought to be proportionate to the prize money, and they ought to distribute it properly.
