Self publishing is a really HARD way to get your work out there. Personally, if I chose to take that route, I would prefer to research the best publisher for my requirements rather than see it thinly disguised as a competition.

I'm really quite up for entering; it's a great focus for my attention, seems like just the sort of motivation I need to get a shift on with my writing.
