I've only read one of these, Tricia Wastvedt's The River. Not sure what I thought of it, but wouldn't have thought it prize material.

And I have had A Short History of Tractors in Ukrainian on my to-buy shortlist for a couple of weeks since I saw it reviewed in the paper.

'Tractors' is on the radio at the moment (R4 10.45, 19.45). I'm waiting for the tractors to turn up, but I missed Monday and Tuesday, and I tend to dip in and out of radio so maybe I missed that bit and I'll be 'tractored' up to the oxters tonight. Got the Joolz Denby (Billie Morgan) out of the library yesterday, but I've only read the first page. Is Lionel Shriver (We Need to Talk About Kevin) a woman?

Oops, unwanted smiley creep appears again, but thanks to Dee I know what brings them on. I'd hate you to think I laugh at my own lame jokes.
