    Alex , I read the articles you had in The New Writer recently, and was very impressed. I liked the - give it everything you can attitude, that came across in what you said. I’ll certainly give The Seventh Quark a go. And good luck with it!

    Might I suggest an entry in the WW Directory for your magazine? - it won't cost you anything and it should generate submissions, maybe even subscriptions! I need:
    Name of magazine
    Web site (if any)
    E-mail address
    Postal address (if you want to disclose it)
    Phone/fax numbers (if you want to disclose them)
    'Useful information' (eg submissions policy, payment, particular interests - max 100 words)
    'Key words' (eg 'fact', 'fiction;, 'short story', 'craft'...whatever best describes the content.
    Good luck with the venture.

    Useful information

    Aiming to publish high quality literary fiction AND more accessible fiction including genre fiction such as humour, crime, Science Fiction, but the emphasis will be on quality writing, whatever the genre. Example Ray Bradbury.

    Will aim to feature one "virgin" writer each issue, but only if to a reasonable standard. By "=virgin" we mean UNpublished, or a few minor publications. If in doubt, contact the magazine.

    Subscribers may submit one piece per issue for consideration at no charge.
    Extra submissions require a £5 reading fee.

    NON-subscribers may submit as often as they wish but a £5 reading fee is charged.

    Much of the content will be competition winners, solicited fiction, articles etc. Payment for other pieces (max length 4K) will be negotiable up to £50

    The first Frantic Flash was won by Chris Bleach
    who wins £50 for a story "Green & White" which
    will apeear in 7Q 1


    The second Frantic Flash will run at 9PM
    on Saturday jan 1st and 9PM Sunday Jan 2nd
    entrants choosing either night


    The first Bimonthly 2K competition closes dec 31st
