Arts Council Writing Fellowship- Birkbeck, University of London

A 6 month Fellowship for a published writer to pursue their own work and develop a new audience for their writing. Office space provided.
Stipend: £15,000. January-July 2007.
Located in the School of English and Humanities and working closely with staff and students on the well-established MA in Creative Writing, the Fellow will be expected to give up to two public readings, a Masterclass on an aspect of the writing process, and offer weekly tutorial support during the Summer term. There may also be some opportunities for teaching and other engagements around London as arranged between Birkbeck, the Arts Council and the Fellow.
The Fellow will be expected to pursue his or her own writing during the Fellowship and should not undertake any other teaching work during that period. Applicants must have published at least two works of either fiction or non-fiction.
Application should include a copy of latest published work (non-returnable), and a CV detailing publication record and a short outline of current work in progress. Closing date for applications Friday January 5th 2007
