Early days but it seems I've been included in the six winning short film comps running in tandem with Starbucks and will have my 10 second film made and screened in January. Even more bizarrely it seems Norman Wisdom will be in it. I'll let you know more when I sort out the contract, thanks everyone here for your constant support, this site is an online blood transfusion for people like me.
Love you all

Thanks so much Emma, I've more info now, it's a short film set in a Starbucks style cafe, a bit like 'Coffee and Cigarettes' the Jamush film. So my script idea will be incorporated into the entire script along with the other winners to make up the whole story, all set at one table in the cafe. Sir Wisdom won't appear in my idea just in the film itself which is certainly something for the old C.V though. Blimey my old dad will be laughing from above.

Nice one, Jubbly. Sounds like a very interesting project. Especially for a coffee lover like me.

Coffee bars are obviously getting cultural - first Costa take over the Whitbread and there's talk of the category winners being sold there, now Starbucks get in on the act. And of course the USP of Leaf Books is that they sell in coffee bars and the like.

Meant to add I believe Norman Wisdom to be one of the finest of the British physical comedians. His stunts were extraordinary. Yet sadly he was largely disregarded. It is good to hear he is still working he must be in his late eighties by now.

Thanks Props and Holly, I agree, poor old neglected Normie. I think he lives in an actors retirement home and is in fact well over 90.

Lubberly Jubbly!
Well done and congrats.

Thanks so much Len. A treatment I sent to a production company for a full length film has been shortlisted now they've requested the full script, so I feel a lot more positive after a very crap day at work.
