Anyone published or self-publishing might be interested in this open-to-all Society of Authors meeting.
Bristol's not hard to get to for 2pm, and apart from anything else, what a great venue! They've got spaces - I've just checked.

* Working out the USP (unique selling points) of your book.
* Targeting your publicity effectively.
* Building contacts with local and national journalists.
* Preparing for interviews and having answers for the most likely
questions.
* Protecting yourself from the media. Developing strategies for
dealing with intrusive or uninformed questions. Not expecting the journalist to have read your book!
* How to write a press release
There will also be an opportunity to network with fellow writers. You might like to provide us with a brief biography which we will make available to those attending the session.
