hi again.
i want to enter a particular competition that specifies entrants must have a prior record of publication in creative writing. They specify published in a periodical that is published regularly, has been in circulation for the past 12 months, has an ISSN number and is not self published, as qualifying.
In my thread below this one, I mentioned a very small-circulation periodical that is distributed to maybe 100 houses in my home-area.
I don't have many publishing credits (other ones I do have don't qualify for other reasons)
Could published in this qualify me?
Or would this be defined as a self-published periodical?
(I'm not sure if they mean, by self-published, that the author must not be the publisher, or if there is another definition)
rinrin, if you're not the publisher of the magazine, and it fulfils all the criteria, then yes, it would count I imagine. You could always ring the competition organisers and ask.
