Well done Roger - I would be pretty happy with that, and you've still yet to get your 20% from when I can actually afford to buy a copy! (Bit skint this year, sorry)

Thanks JB. No worries - or hurry.

Interesting reading and how very open of you to share it with us. Hope my £2 contribution comes in handy.

Tony, your contribution was very welcome.

Hi Roger
Congratulations on those figures. Hope the paperback gets the marketing the book deserves. Can't help feeling that it needs to pushed hard for a bit to gain a critical mass of readership at which point it can really take off on its own. I think the zeit and the geist are ready for this kind of reading- please the lord MM don't underdo it!
Best as ever

Hi Pete, as yet there is no paperback. Nor plans for one that I know of.

W-H-A-T-?????????
-
That's ridiculous.

Thanks for sharing this Roger, I can certainly do with such specific information. Many congratulations too, as these are very good sales.
-
Thanks Issy and Pete (again). I received an email from Suroopa Mukherjee, one of the other MNW authors; her sales are even better than mine! I shall add details to my blog when I get a chance.

Firstly and foremost, congratulations, and thanks for sharing this info.
I just wanted to note that reading posts from 'budding writers' openly informing you that you had pocketed some of their money was quite amusing.
Good luck with the future sales. Personally I have enough books to read to last me the next two years at least, and that's not including my CIMA coursebooks, so I won't be buying a copy myself in the near future. Looks like you won't miss my £2 though, eh?

Thanks Insane. I have a huge backlog of books too, so I know how you feel.

I sometimes still get royalty cheques for some non-fiction I wrote several years ago. It feels like free money, until I remind myself that I spent several months not earning while I was writing it. When I do the sums the daily rate doesn't look too attractive...

I think this is a good-looking royalty statement. Maybe not huge, but every last pence of it has been earned in sales.
-
Congratulations Roger!
Nice reading as well!
Brian.
