Some surprising news! My novel, "Maloney's Law," has been shortlisted for the 2006 Harry Bowling Prize (for novels set in London) - the longlist is up on their website now - http://www.harrybowlingprize.net - but the shortlist should go up later this month.

Apparently, I have to attend the award ceremony in September in London - so I'd better scrub up and get my hair cut, eh?!

Maybe, just maybe, this might persuade someone out there to publish the book?...

Dear Roger & Emma - many thanks. I think it's one of those awards I've been aware of via the writers' mags, but haven't entered for a couple of years, as I had nothing based in London (which is part of their entry rules ...)

My agent is highly amused, especially, as Headline rejected Maloney's Law last year!... Still, different departments, different tastes - I'm definitely used to that by now...
