When Creative Commons interviews a POD company, you know that there's something interesting going on, so when I saw this link on Grumpy Old Bookman I though I'd post it here.
Creative Commons is (are?) a combination of creative people's radical thinking, a growing movement in the arts world, and an organisation with website, all devoted to rethinking the whole issue of copyright and intellectual property, particularly in the arts. They've interviewed the founder of Lulu, and though obviously in one sense he's biased, it does give an insight into how it works.

As grumpy old bookman says, look carefully at your contract, and remember Lulu are in business to make money, but it could be just the thing if your main interest is in getting your work into print.
